Services

June Cares provides a home-away-from-home and supportive care to adults with a mental or physical disabilities. The 1-2 bed Adult Family Homes (AFHs) in Green Bay are comfortable, well-maintained houses in quiet residential neighborhoods. Our AFHs are located on the West Side of Green Bay close to stores, restaurants, and libraries.

Maximizing the Quality of Life

June Cares’ caregivers help adults with disabilities perform everyday living tasks, like hygiene, grooming, dressing, bathing. Additionally, June Cares prepares home-cooked meals, does laundry and housekeeping, and provides transportation to work, church, shopping, doctor appointments, family gatherings, and other destinations. June Cares also administers medication, including diabetes and insulin assistance. Through supportive care, AFH members learn and practice daily-living skills that lead to greater independence. Some adults with disabilities gain the independence and confidence needed to move into their own apartments.

Caregiving in a Home Setting

Caregiving comes natural to Geneva Brown, the owner of June Cares. Geneva is Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a former dialysis technician. She also worked as a wellness coordinator in charge of staffing, training, and admissions at long-term care facilities. She has cared for people of varying abilities, including those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. A friend encouraged Geneva to open June Cares, and Geneva opened her first AFH in 2021. She named the business after her mother, June, who passed away in 2017. Geneva was her mother’s caregiver and now focuses her caregiving skills on June Cares’ members and employees.

“I love giving back, and I love having members learn and get experience and supportive care to move into their own apartment.”
– Geneva Brown, owner of June Cares
